Vitrium Systems, a solution vendor for Smart Document Technology, partnered with Foxit Corporation at the O’Reilly Tools of Change for Publishing Conference. Vitrium’s protectedpdf software is supported by the partnership.
Users of protectedpdf now have the possibilty of viewing protectedpdf enhanced documents using the Foxit Reader with no additional downloaded plug-ins or software.
Co-Founder and CEO of Vitrium, Peter Nieforth said “With the ubiquity of PDF, we are now able to support customers using the Foxit Reader, We are constantly seeking ways to support our customers and maximize the user-value of distributing PDFs. Foxit helps us take great strides in enhancing our ability to deliver PDF solutions across our customer base.”
Features like highlight content, insert comments into the protected document and so on, which were unavailable to the protectedpdf users can now be accessed through Foxit Reader Version 3.2. At the very conference, Foxit CEO, Eugene Xiong said “We are very excited about this partnership, Protectpdf customers will now have access to new exciting features, such as highlighting, note taking and commenting tools, while enjoying a smaller, faster, more efficient PDF reader”
